I am so glad that you are here. Deciding to work with a therapist is a big step.
My clients come to me because they are tired of feeling overwhelmed by memories, current worries, or sadness. They feel physically exhausted and often ill.

In addition to being a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Bay Area, I am also a Mother to two littles, a Wife, an amateur athlete, a writer, a car karaoke singer, lover of travelling, and a woman of faith.
I started practicing therapy 10 years ago after earning my MSW from San Jose State University. Over the years I have worked in a variety of settings including schools, hospitals, and community based non-profits. And while I loved most of the work that I did in these spaces, nothing beats working directly 1:1 with a person. In therapy, I get to meet the most amazing people who are curious, motivated, talented, and resourceful. I get to see them on their good days and their bad days and we journey together.
The through line in my work is trauma. I have experience working with mothers who are recovering from a traumatic birth or the loss of a child. I have worked with refugees and asylum seekers who have lost their home and often times, much more. I have worked with individuals who are recovering from a lifetime of abandonment, community violence, abuse, and other horrors.
Treating and addressing trauma requires a multi layered approach. Thanks to the enormous amount of research that has been done over the last 30 years we now know that trauma is not necessarily best treated through talking alone. That’s why in my practice I incorporate a number of approaches that address the holistic care a person needs when recovering. I enjoy watching people take back control of their lives and begin to find pleasure in daily living.
In addition to my credentials as an LCSW, I also have been trained through the Center for Mind Body Medicine and have been certified through the Trauma Research Foundation in Traumatic Stress Studies and have also been certified as an Integrative Mental Health Practitioner. In addition to this I also provide ketamine assisted therapy for those who are interested in addressing their trauma or depression through psycholytic support. I also happily serve as a Lecturer at Columbia University for their School of Social Work and as a Field Instructor for San Jose State University.
Trust is the foundation of good therapy. But don’t take my word for it! See what others have thought.
“Bridget helped me through the toughest year of my adult life. From an anxiety-inducing relationship to a sudden breakup to multiple levels of professional upheaval, Bridget was consistently supportive, non-judgmental, empathetic, and knowledgeable. She provided actionable tools and validation that continue to help me today. When I decided to try psycholytic-assisted therapy, she went out of her way to learn about the one I used so she could support me afterward.”
“Completing therapy with Bridget was bittersweet because I enjoyed the sessions so much, but I walked away with a stronger ability to self-regulate, more self-compassion, and more confidence.”
